Bursa Malaysia and FTSE Group have signed an agreement to create a new series of equity indexes for Malaysia.

At launch, the series will include domestic indexes and will be expanded in time to include others. Bursa Malaysia and FTSE say the series of new indexes will attract both domestic and international investors with an interest in Malaysian stocks. The indexes will be suitable for a range of index-linked investment vehicles, including exchange-traded funds, derivatives and over-the-counter
