Keeping up with the neighbours

Compared to Belgium, the market for structured products in the Netherlands is small beer. But Robert Benson says the Dutch appetite for innovation could herald serious growth potential in the years ahead

In October last year, I described how the Belgian structured products market is now one of the largest in Europe having notched up annual sales of more than EUR20 billion. Indeed, with a population of just over 10 million, the Belgian's have the highest per capita investment in structured products of any European country.

Having recently launched a new product database for the Netherlands on StructuredRetailProducts.com, I have been looking into this neighbouring market to see how it compares.
