L&G tempts investors with launch of first kick-out plan

Legal & General in the UK has launched its first capital-protected, early-payment-feature investment plan. The Growth Investment Plan Plus (Gipp) offers 100% capital protection at maturity and 100% of any capital growth in the FTSE 100 index over a six-year term.

The plan includes an early-payment feature, which means the investment could close early, paying investors a return of 22% after three years, 27% after four years or 32% after five years, plus the original investment.
