The Bank of Ireland (BOI) is to use Standard & Poor's indexes as underlyings for a broad range of structured products, including the issuance of guaranteed funds for retail investors. The bank has selected the S&P 500 Index and its sub-indexes.

According to Brian Vaughan, director and head of structured products at the BOI, Standard & Poor's (S&P) has licensed the indexes to them for three years
