Risk USA: US, EU regulators expected to implement new framework consistently

Bankers are confident that the US and EU will adopt the final Basel rules on interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB) consistently, easing the compliance process for cross-border banks.

"The final framework is something that brings together industry best practice that has been in use for a while in Europe. There are some new ideas there, but most of the standards are common practice across the industry aside from a few technicalities, and regulators seem to be heading the same way," said
