
FSA's Turner: RWA divergence would undermine Basel III

International differences in the calculation of risk-weighted assets (RWAs) – the basis for regulatory capital ratios – could undermine Basel III, Adair Turner, chairman of the UK Financial Services Authority warned this morning at a press conference to launch the latest Bank of England financial stability report.
