Industry expresses concern over timing of Basel trading book review

Plans to overhaul the Basel trading book in 2011 have raised concerns about implementation targets

Bankers and industry association representatives expressed concern over the Basel Committee's plans to undertake a comprehensive review of its trading book rules before regulators and financial services firms have had a chance to implement the last set, published just over a year ago.

The latest version of the Basel Committee's market risk rules was published in July 2009, and it was amended
