Basel Committee’s Walter: Basel III on track

Despite vociferous industry opposition to its proposed reforms and widespread pressure to review its optimistic planned timeline, the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision remains on track to finalise its proposals by the end of this year, its secretary-general has said.
