Basel II securitisation paper delayed

BASEL, SWITZERLAND -- Global banking regulators hoped to issue their working paper on the treatment of asset securitisation under the Basel II bank capital accord in the second week of October, regulators said as Operational Risk went to press.

The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision had hoped to issue the paper on October 1 with the Basel II third quantitative impact study, or QIS 3, and the committee's overview of progress with the Basel II accord.

But regulators said the pressure of work
