KRIs and proactive risk management

  • Operational risk

About the course

Key risk indicators act as a canary in a coal mine, alerting organisations of silent threats and providing time for preventative measures to be implemented. This course explores how organisations can design and embed effective key risk indicators that support risk appetite, promote ownership and accountability and shift governance frameworks from reaction to prevention.

Participants will identify meaningful indicators using techniques, such as the bow tie method, and explore strategies for measuring risk across operational resilience and third-party risk.

Explanation of key roles and responsibilities across the three lines will help participants to improve risk culture and take ownership of monitoring KRIs.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to confidently leverage KRIs to enhance risk awareness and support the achievement of business objectives.
