Operational resilience and business continuity
About the course
During operational disruptions, which are inevitable, organisations must be able to maintain critical operations and adapt to the changing circumstances while continuing to meet customer expectations. This course focuses on the interconnectedness of operational resilience and business continuity management to equip participants with the skills to design a resilience framework that effectively responds to and recovers from disruptions.
Participants will explore the building blocks of operational resilience, including critical business service mapping, impact tolerances, resource mapping and resilience measurement. By understanding the roles of the board and the three lines, participants will develop effective governance structures that support resilience objectives and drive operational ownership.
Sessions will address the importance of defining meaningful impact tolerances and utilising scenario testing to identify vulnerabilities. Participants will be prepared to integrate resilience into their organisation’s existing framework while demonstrating regulatory compliance and conducting appropriate due diligence of processes, technology and third-parties.
