Barclays Investment Notes commence trading on LSE

Barclays Investment Notes started trading on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) today. The structured products were launched to investors last month at the start of a three week book building period.

The UK bank hopes that investors will invest in the notes, primarily because they offer secondary market liquidity – allowing them to buy and sell the notes when it suits, without the penalty charges often associated with traditional structured products.

Additionally, Barclays plans to launch two new notes, following the success of FTSE 100 Capital Protected Investment Note and the Global Accelerator Investment Note. These notes have completed their book building and are now available for
