Market share increase for ETFs

Exchange traded funds (ETFs) are continuing to gain market share, with $122.5bn in assets under management, according to a recent survey.

According to the report, compiled by Morgan Stanley, Bloomberg and other ETF sponsors, globally there are 238 ETFs with 307 listings. Assets invested in ETFs have grown to $122.5bn, an increase of $17.6bn since the beginning of the year.

Globally there are 21 ETF advisers, BGI being the largest based on number of ETFs ' 105 and State Street Global Advisers
