Commodity index fund debuts in Japan

BNP Paribas, together with Axa Investment Managers and Axa Rosenberg Tokyo, has released the Easy ETF S&P GSCI, the first commodity index ETF and the first European ETF listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE). The launch of the ETF on the TSE has been enabled by the recent change of regulations in Japan, which now allow foreign-registered ETFs tracking a commodity index or price to be listed on the exchange.

The ETF is designed to replicate the performance of the S&P GSCI total return index
