John Evans

Centre for Analysis of Complex Financial Systems

John Evans is the Director of the Centre for Analysis of Complex Financial Systems. He was previously Head of the School or Risk and Actuarial Studies at the University of New South Wales. He is Chairman of several Risk & Compliance Committees for financial institutions in Australia. He was previously a Guardian of the New Zealand Superannuation Fund and consulted to several industry superannuation funds in Australia.

John lectures in Australia and Hong Kong on risk management and has published in leading international academic journals on risk management as well as publishing in trade magazines. He is currently employed part time in the Dean's Unit at the University of Sydney Business School.

John is a member and Senior Vice President of the Council of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
