EBRD Searches For VAR Systems To Support New Risk Control Division

The London-based European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is evaluating risk management systems to enhance its value-at-risk analysis, according to bank officials.

EBRD's system search is part of a drive to beef up its risk management procedures. To this end, the bank recently created an internal risk control unit that operates independently of its traders.
