
Sophis acquisition to bring Asian buy-side benefits for Misys

Misys' acquisition of Sophis is expected to bring particular benefits for growing both businesses in Asia, according to a senior Sophis official.
Misys agreed to buy Sophis, a global vendor of capital markets software solutions, for €273 million ($370 million), with a further €5 million payable on closing, subject to Sophis's performance. Misys is financing the acquisition with the sale of shares, new credit facilities and convertible bond issuance. The acquisition is subject to Misys'
