DTCC tests affirmation platform with brokers

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is testing a credit derivatives trade affirmation platform which will enable the front office to affirm trades at the point of execution for the first time.

The clearing company is working with the major inter-dealer credit brokers to launch the platform, which is expected to go live in the second half of 2006. GFI Group, Icap and Tullett Prebon are now testing AffirmXpress, and more inter-dealer brokers will be able to join the platform next
