Disaster recovery best practices unveiled
ST LOUIS – Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), the St Louis-based non-profit organisation that certifies business continuity practitioners, has issued a draft document for the first generally accepted practices (GAP) for business continuity practitioners.
The draft document, released at the end of July, is a culmination of efforts by business continuity planning (BCP) professional bodies in the US and the UK. It incorporates the BCP practices as defined by the British Standards Institute (BSI) and the Business Continuity Institute (BCI), as well as the American best practices promulgated by the DRII.
The draft document outlines 10 core principles
