Taskforce is key for DBS


SINGAPORE -- People are at the heart of operational risk management at the Development Bank of Singapore (DBS). Key to the company’s op risk programme is a taskforce that includes representatives from across the business. "Operational risk is not a one unit issue," says Chng Sok Hui, managing director and head of group risk at Singapore’s largest bank. "We want to get buy-in as early as possible by involving as many people as possible."

Formed in October 2001, the 18-member taskforce was charged
