JP Morgan Welcomes 'Positive Response' To Creditmetrics


OFFICIALS at JP Morgan's New York-based risk management advisory group say they are pleased by initial responses to Creditmetrics, the bank's new framework for measuring the risks on a portfolio of credit-based instruments.

Ethan Berman, head of the bank's recently formed risk management advisory division, says initial reactions to Creditmetrics have been "positive". But he cautions that "data transparency and quality issues are now paramount".
