FileNet Acquires Rivals Saros And IFS: Bankers Mulls Consequences

California-based FileNet, a software vendor specialising in document imaging and workflow systems, has announced plans to acquire two of its competitors: Saros Corporation and International Financial Systems (IFS).
The acquisitions will have a direct impact on Bankers Trust, which is a client of both FileNet and Saros. Bankers uses the vendors' systems to automate its processing operations worldwide (RMO, September 25, 1995).
Market observers say FileNet's document management system is geared
