Commerz FP Uses 'Metadata' For Risk Systems Architecture

COMMERZ Financial Products, the derivatives trading subsidiary of Frankfurt-based Commerzbank, has constructed a platform-independent systems architecture that allows its risk managers to access information from underlying trading systems and process this risk data on an intra-day basis.

Unlike conventional risk warehouse-based architectures, Commerz FP's system is based on replicated multidimensional data models and metadata tables, together with SQL-based front-end querying tools.
