Sumitomo Selects RMT's Radar For Consolidated Risk Data Detection

Osaka-based Sumitomo Bank is installing Risk Management Technologies' Radar system in its Tokyo office as part of an ongoing asset/liability and risk management project, say bank officials.

The Unix-based client/server system will initially be used by Sumitomo staff in Japan to measure and manage interest rate risk exposures of the bank's consolidated portfolio.

This portfolio covers a variety of financial instruments, from savings deposits to customised derivatives, according to Sumitomo
