Midas-Kapiti International Buys Summit Systems For $80 Million


MIDAS-Kapiti International has announced its intention to acquire Summit Systems, the New York-based risk management and derivatives software vendor.

The announcement confirms industry rumours circulating late last year. Midas-Kapiti, a subsidiary of UK-based Misys, has also acquired the 40 per cent of Quotient France that it did not already own. Quotient France distributes both Summit and Midas-Kapiti systems in mainland Europe.

Summit has fetched a total price of $79 million -- $60.5 million up
