Global Derivatives Turnover Hits $362 Billion Per Day, Reports BIS

BASLE--Global turnover in OTC derivatives has risen to an average of $362 billion per day, according to preliminary results of the triennial foreign exchange and derivatives survey conducted by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). The latest turnover figure compares to $196 billion in 1995, representing an annualized growth rate of 23 per cent.
