Financial institutions must expect to suffer cyber breaches and should focus on a quick recovery from attacks rather than prevention, according to speakers at a cyber risk panel at OpRisk Europe in London today (June 10).

A panel of chief information security officers (CISOs) discussed the increasing threat from so-called 'industrialised' cyber criminals – the new breed of organised and well-financed hackers – and acknowledged that innovation among attackers was outstripping efforts in defence.
