Adoboli faces sentence for three years of fraud


A jury in London's Southwark Crown Court today convicted UBS rogue trader Kweku Adoboli on two counts of fraud by abuse of position. He is expected to be sentenced this afternoon.

The jury found Adoboli, formerly a trader on the bank's exchange-traded funds desk, guilty of fraud from October 2008 to June 2011, and from June to September 2011. However, he was found not guilty on four other charges of false accounting over the same period. Each fraud charge carries a prison sentence of up to 10
