
Fatca passthru payments to be simplified, expert says

The passthru payment element of the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (Fatca) will be made much simpler when the final regulations are released, according to one industry expert.
Reetu Khosla, Boston-based global director of risk, fraud and compliance at software company Pegasystems, thinks the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has no choice but to either push back the details of passthru payments to beyond June this year – the date the final regulations are due to be released – or simplify
