Cagan appointed head of op risk at JP Morgan

Penny Cagan has been appointed as head of operational risk for the retail financial services division of JP Morgan Chase in New York, effective from late January 2012.

In the newly created role, Cagan will report to the chief risk officer of the retail financial services division, Sam Ramsey.

Cagan was previously head of compliance analytics at Citi in New York, where she had been since July 2010.
