UK fraud whistleblowers need bounties, lawyers say


UK whistleblowing regulations should include a bounty provision along the lines of the one included in the US Dodd-Frank Act, according to legal experts.

"If a potential fraudster knows there's a danger their activities are going to be exposed by a whistleblower, they are less likely to commit the fraud," says Vivian Robinson, a London-based partner at law firm McGuire Woods.
