UK's ICB report a further complication for banks

The Independent Commission on Banking's (ICB) final report is a further complication for banks, leaving them with another layer of capital and liquidity to deal with, according to the British Bankers' Association (BBA). The report, released this week, highlights proposals for making the banking sector more stable and less likely to fail.

The report recommends ring-fencing banks' UK retail operations from their investment arms, improving the loss absorbency of financial institutions, and
