
SEC appoints Lewis as director of RiskFin

Craig Lewis has joined the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as chief economist and director of the division of risk, strategy and financial innovation (RiskFin). Lewis has been appointed following a second successful fellowship as a visiting professor to the SEC.
During the six-month fellowship Lewis provided advice on policy issues and offered analysis on the over-the-counter derivatives market. He also worked on developing analytic approaches to identifying violations of securities
