SEC charges IndyMac three top execs with securities fraud


The Securities and Exchange Commission has charged three former senior executives at IndyMac with securities fraud prior to the bank’s collapse and government takeover in 2008.

Chief executive Michael Perry and chief financial officers (CFO) Scott Keys and Blair Abernathy allegedly provided false and misleading information to investors as to the state of the mortgage lender’s finances as the situation deteriorated.

The regulator claims all three regularly received reports on the state of capital
