US and Canadian banks expect internal fraud to increase

Internal fraud continues to pose a threat to financial institutions, and is only likely to get worse, according to a new report.

Research and advisory group Aite recently completed a study on the problem by  asking fraud and product executives in the US and Canada to anonymously outline the scale of insider fraud.

According to the report, respondents indicated the volume of incidences of internal fraud committed by employees at banks is likely to either remain at its current level or increase
