Cebs offers advice on changing AMA models


The advanced measurement approach (AMA) to operational risk under Basel II was always meant to evolve as the discipline matured. Therefore AMA models are not supposed to be static and firms are required to update their models to reflect changes in business models and risk landscapes. With this in mind, the Committee of European Banking Supervisors (Cebs) has published a draft consultation paper that sets out guidelines for firms looking to change their AMA models.
