UK FSA switches focus to ‘governance in action’

BASEL – "Our emphasis is now on supervising governance in action," Rosalie Langley Judd, manager of governance policy at the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA), said in a speech at the Financial Stability Institute (FSI) seminar on corporate governance reform held in Basel on October 12.

In the speech Judd set out the FSA's new direction in ensuring strong corporate governance at the firms it regulates through its approved persons regime.
