Dallas star Larry Hagman awarded $11.5 million payout


NEW YORK – Citigroup has been ordered to pay $11.5 million dollars to settle claims of "breach of fiduciary duty, civil fraud, misrepresentation and omission" brought in May 2009 by Larry Hagman, best known as JR Ewing from the 1980s TV show, Dallas.

A Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (Finra) arbitration panel decided to award the sum, with $1.1 million going directly to Hagman, $460,000 covering lawyer costs, and the remainder, almost $10 million, going to charities of Hagman's choosing
