UK FSA bans director amid insurance fraud crackdown

LONDON – The UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) banned Andrew Jeffery of Jeffery Flanders Consulting on August 17 over failings in relation to insurance fraud. The regulator has also imposed a substantial fine.

The decision is part of a broader crackdown on this type of criminal behaviour by the FSA, which says it is “getting tough” on insurance fraud. On the same day, the FSA also banned four other individuals for similar failings.
