DBS Bank suffers IT outage

Singaporean bank, DBS, was left without access to consumer and commercial banking systems for several hours after a major IT outage occurred on Monday, July 5. The outage resulted in the failure of internet banking systems and automated teller machines (ATMs), and the bank was unable to accept cash payments until the system was restored.

In a statement to press, DBS confirmed the bank first knew about the problem at 3am but was able to resume normal services by 10am the same day.
