Cesr: Europe needs EU-wide short-selling disclosure regime

PARIS – Short-selling disclosure rules across Europe should be harmonised under a pan-European regime, according to the Committee of European Securities Regulators (Cesr). The Paris-based Level 3 committee issued a report yesterday outlining why it wants a more transparent regime, a disclosure model and a cost-benefit impact assessment of introducing EU-wide rules.
