The goal is to eventually create a common language for KRIs across the financial services industry. The project was launched in the second quarter of 2003 (see Operational Risk, August 2003, page 17). It finished its first stage, while launching its second stage, in late October 2003 (see Operational Risk, November 2003, page 14). Seven banks participated in the first stage of the programme, including Citigroup Europe, Deutsche Bank, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, JP Morgan Chase, KeyCorp
