SAS acquires OpRisk Analytics

Stamford, Connecticut – International software firm SAS announced the purchase of OpRisk Analytics, a Stamford, Connecticut-based software company that specialises in op risk products, in mid-June. The deal, which had been rumoured in the market for several weeks, gives SAS a strong foothold in the operational risk software arena, where it has been aggressively building its presence over the past 12 months. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
