Insurers urge G-20 to recognise sector-specific needs

The European insurance and reinsurance federation (CEA) has called on the Group of 20 to take the insurance industry’s needs into account when deciding on new regulations.

In a letter to UK prime minister Gordon Brown ahead of this week’s Pittsburgh summit, Michaela Koller, director-general of the CEA, urges the G-20 leaders to adopt sector-specific policies when designing their global response to the crisis.
