Three members of family jailed for boiler-room fraud in UK

Three members of the same family were sentenced to a total of 19 years in prison by the UK Crown Prosecution Service at Southwark Crown Court on August 22 for boiler-room fraud resulting in £14 million in losses.

Tomas Wilmot, the ringleader, has been sentenced to nine years in prison, while his sons Kevin and Christopher have been sentenced to five years each.

The Wilmots ran a group of 16 boiler rooms that defrauded an estimated 1,700 investors of £27.5 million in total. Many of their victims
