House attacks Geithner over AIG ‘cover-up’

US Treasury secretary Timothy Geithner fended off accusations of a cover-up on January 27, as members of the US House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform attacked efforts to keep secret the details of the New York Fed’s bailout of failed insurer AIG.
