Fear that high oil prices are set to put a brake on global growth are doing little to dampen sentiment among financial professionals over job opportunities and salary expectations. In London, a recent survey showed three quarters of City employees expect their 2005–2006 bonus to be higher than last year. A quarter expect this year’s bonus to be more than double last year’s.
