Merge or bust for e-trading platforms


The market for electronic fixed-income trading platforms consolidated further in 2004, according to the Bond Market Association’s (BMA) annual market survey. The BMA’s 2004 e-commerce survey identified 74 electronic trading systems for fixed-income securities currently operating in the US and Europe – down from 77 in 2003. The number peaked at 81 in 2002.
