UK Attorney-General unveils new Approach to fraud
LONDON - UK attorney-general Patricia Scotland has announced new proposals to allow plea negotiating in the UK for complex fraud cases, as well as new powers for the crown court to bar those found guilty of fraud from professional practice.
The new "plea negotiation framework" differs from the US definition of plea bargaining, which often involves curtailing sentences for fraudsters in return for co-operating with law enforcement officers. It is designed rather to help streamline complex fraud
