New Committees Investigate OTC Derivatives And Hedge Funds
WASHINGTON DC--In response to recent events in the derivatives and hedge funds markets, two US congressional committees have been organized to investigate the risks and policies associated with these markets. The studies follow a concept release on the regulation of OTC derivatives issued by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and the near-collapse of Long-Term Capital Management (LTCM).
